My Everlasting Friend

Morning and evening you're always there.
Looking at me though nobody cares.
Ever hour, every minute stroking my head,
Even though I am already out of bed.

Some may think I'm crazy,
But, you think differently.
Making me feel special,
Even though the world denies me.

People think I'm crazy,
Being so dependent on You.
But they don't realize how Amazing You are.
And all the things that You can do.

I am really so blessed to know You,
You even fought for me.
Releasing me in these chains,
So I can live joyfully.

Someone that fought for me,
Even though I don't deserve it.
Blood that was shed not on swords,
But, in Your hands; on a tree.

You are the only one I can fully trust.
I even received from You the best gift,
Assuring me of my future,
That everlastingly spans for eternity.

I may not be able to see you now,
But I am sure it'll come.
You will forever be in my heart.
For that is the place I set for you right from the start.
